Heinrich Hammann & Emily Weber never married. Data at Pike Co. is a marriage license, not marriage. He married Barbara Reybert.I also have 22 Dec 1842(Seal Twp., Pike Co.) as birth date for Elizabeth.I also have that she d. 16 Jul 1924, Cass Co., IL; m. 6 Oct 1864, Pike Co., to John Adam ZAHN, b. 26
Aug 1842, Pike Co.; d. 26 Jul 1871, Cass Co.
Until about 3 years ago, I was receiving data from a professional genealogist in Speyer, Germany. In addition to my Frey ancestors, including allied families, I also received data on Hammanns & Theobalds, dating back
to early 1600's. I also received data from a Gordon Rubenking (deceased), who had thoroughly researched the family, except for descendants of George & Mary (Frey) Hamman. In addition, I pretty much exhausted the official & other records in Pike Co. in my own research.
Here is data on Mary & George (Elizabeth's bro.):
MARIA HELENA “LENA” FREY: b. 31 Oct 1842 at Neuhofen, Rheinpfalz, Germany; d. 16 Oct 1885 at IL and bur. Oakland Cemetery, Meredosia, IL; d/o REICHARD FREY & KATHARINA BORTENE PORTUNE; m. 7 June 1864 at Chillicothe, OH to
GEORGE HENRY HAMMAN, b. 12 Sep 1840 at Seal Twp. Pike Co., OH; d. 1913 at ? ; bur. Oakland Cemetery, Meredosia; s/o HEINRICH H. HAMMAN and BARBARA REYBERT. Issue: Elizabeth, Mary Elizabeth, George Edward, and Amos.
Here's data on Elizabeth's other siblings:
Andrew (b. 1846, Seal Twp. & d. 1915, Meredosia; bur. Oakland Cem.), Frederick, twin of Andrew (b. 1846 & d. 1933, Meredosia; bur. Oakland Cem.), and Mary (b. 1849).
