Thanks for the information, Belle. I have never seen the name spelled like DeBard
before, but I have seen it spelled DuBard and
Dubard and Dubbert. Was John Frederick Dubbert, born about 1739 in South Carolina, William's Father? Did Johann Von Hammiler marry Juanita Whiterain? I am a descendant
of George Stingley who lived in the area and was born 1790 and married Elizabeth Bernhardt, Her father was Pastor Christian Eberhardt Bernhardt, William DuBard is listed in eight members of the 1847 Lutheran Church in the Lexington District of South Carolina. The Last names of the members are: Stingley, Harmon, Morgan, and DuBard.
There were some marriages within these families with these and Bernhardt's and
Hamiter's.
