I have been searching for a number of years for the ancestry of my 3XGreatgrandfather, William Thompson Hamilton, b. 1811-1815? Edgefield County, SC. He was married to Sarah Anne Crawford, born 1826, Edgefield County, SC. Among the 8 children born to them, was my 2XGreatgrandmother, Frances Elizabeth Hamilton, b. 11/20/1857 in Chickasaw County, MS. I have never been able to find anyone who could get William's parents. Has anyone been successful? My last query was I believe in 2001. I have not been working on genealogy much since my grandchildren were born, but I am now trying to pick it back up again. I have a wealth of information on Sara Ann Crawford's family, which is quite illustrious. I'm thinking William was probably well connected as well, but I can't get the information. Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated! All cousins out there, please contact me! Thanks!
