Rethinking this somewhat...Francis was known to have a son Jacob who was born Tn ca 1800...also little info is known of this Jacob...however, Francis Alexanders' and Mary2 son appears to be a "Jacob E Hamilton" per Mary's estate settlement records...and there was a "Capt Jacob E Hamilton" in early Tx ca 1840 near Navarro Co...this fact plus only 35/37 DNA match with son (Barton) of Francis' line poses some questions...plus Jacob c 1802 is closely related to an Alexander C Hamilton who also lives Madison Co Al 1850...although Jacob is close on DNA with Francis, I am backing off claim at present that he was his son...more research needed.
