Looking for information re William Hamilton born abt 1811 England/Scotland?
Married to Margaret Elliot.
William Hamilton served in the 44th Regiment 1834-1841. I think he may have died soon after as his widow married Thomas Hunt about 1844, This union produced a daughter Mary Ann Hunt born about 1846.
Have checked Scotlands People and the only record I was able to obtain was a death certificate for Margaret 1874 who died in Glasgow. States 1sthusband William Hamilton (soldier)dec. 2nd husband Thomas Hunt (engine keeper)dec.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
