Hi I'm trying to track the YOB, Place Of Birth & DOD of my GGrandfather "Thomas Milburn Hamilton" I think he was born about 1871 & I know by his marriage certificate he was a General Labourer but I know through family he worked for the South Shields Gas Works (not sure when?).
His father was "William Milburn Hamilton" also a Labourer wife unknown?
Also one of the witnesses was a "Mary Milburn Hamilton" (Not sure if this is his sister or mother??)
Thomas married Eleanor Gardiner Price in 1894 (St Peters Jarrow although a mistake was made and rectified by the parish.. Helena changed to Eleanor)
They went on to have 4 children born South Shields, Durham, England :-
Thomas Milburn Hamilton - 1901
Frances Ann Price Hamilton - 1906 (My Nana)
William Hamilton - YOB Unknown ????
Alfred Hamilton - YOB Unknown ????
At the time of there marriage in 1894 they were living at Milton St.
Thomas age 23...Living at No. 25 Milton Street
Eleanor age 19....Living at No. 21 Milton Street
But in 1906 when my Nana was born they lived at No. 2 Garden Lane in South Shields..
I have also been told through the family that Eleanor later died in child birth.. which I have found some information on this in the year of 1919 (at South Shields Registry office)
