Thanks. You certainly went to a lot of trouble, researching a family to whom you are not related. I had already found most of this, as well as the 1920 census which lists Leicester as "Lewis". It also lists his older daughter, Jean, at 1-3/12 years. She is the one I am trying to identify as the Jean Hamilton who married my uncle. I am hoping to find an obituary or biography for her father. The very brief bio on the MIT site doesn't mention his family at all.
