I am searching for information regarding Chloe HAMILTON who m. Caleb WHITE (birth, marriage, parents, siblings, etc.). Caleb and Chloe emigrated from Vermont to western Bradford Co., PA, abt. 1820. According to Heverly's "Pioneers & Patriot Families," Caleb and Chloe HAMILTON WHITE had the following children:
Silas Hamilton WHITE m. Charlotte BLODGETT
Malinda WHITE m. Nathan C. BALLARD (my ancestors)
Lucy WHITE m. a Mr. PALMER
Chloe WHITE m. a Mr. PARKER
Sally WHITE m. a Mr. TAFF
Artemsia (Harty) WHITE m. 1st Stephen PALMER; 2nd Nathaniel HICKOK; 3rd James H. ROSS
Sylvia WHITE m. Alanson WORDEN
David WHITE m. (?)
Caleb and Chloe are resting in the Granville Centre Cemetery, Granville Twp., Bradford Co., PA. Caleb was a vetern of the Revolution, and he his pension application is very interesting. Unfortunately, it gives no information regarding marriage, etc.
Also, at the same time Caleb and Chloe are living in and around Granville Twp., a Phoebe HAMILTON is living there with her husband David ROSS. I do not know if James H. ROSS is a relative of David ROSS nor do I have a connection between Phoebe HAMILTON and Chloe HAMILTON. David ROSS and Phoebe HAMILTON are also resting at Granville Centre Cemetery.
Caleb and Chloe lived w/my ancestors Malinda WHITE (their daughter) and her husband Nathan C. BALLARD or lived close to them in Granville Twp. during their later years.
ANY information regarding Chloe HAMILTON would be greatly appreciated. I have some information regarding her descendants through Silas, Malinda, and Harty, but I do not have any information regarding her other children.
Is it possible that Chloe HAMILTON is a descendant of John HAMILTON (the emigrant) was was b. in Scotland and settled in Shaftsbury, VT?
Is she possibly the daughter of John the emigrant's grandson, John HAMILTON thru his wife Chloe CONVERSE?
