A biography/family history of Robert J. Hamilton is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 1206. Parents: A.B. Hamilton; Robert's mother was a full-blood Indian who died when he was born. He was raised in Choteau, MT, and later attended Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Indian School, and after graduation returned to Montana, studied law and began his practice in Kalispell.
Robert Hamilton married Miss Rosa Henault (pronounced "Eno"), born Choteau, MT, daughter of Stephen and Maggie (Gardipu) Henault. Hamilton children: Theo (Mrs. Hugh Jackson), Rosalie, Robert, Clara, Joseph, Hildegarde.
