Dear Hamilton Researcher,
If you are still looking for information on your Hamilton line in Virginia, please let me know. I have the genealogy book written by Lewin McPherson where I can look up your queries and help with your search, perhaps.
I am descended from the Archibald Hamilton and Frances Calhoun family who settled in Augusta County Virginia, near Tinkling Springs, about 1736. They traveled from No. Ireland, Ulster County on a ship named Hope in 1733. They married in Ireland before their trip and first settled in Pennsylvania. They came with brothers and sisters, one of which I believe was a William Hamilton. The Calhouns are the Calhoun ancestors to John C Calhoun.
