Seeking for Hamill - Armagh

Hello!

Am a new subscriber so bear with me if I am not doing this right.

I have a Catherine (aka Katherine, Katie per her marriage record) Hamill b. approx. 1878 - it was said she originated from Northern Ireland possibly Donegal<?>. Her marriage record shows her parents as James and Mary (McGill) Hamill.

She left Ireland and was in Newton Lowerfall, Boston in (possibly 1904) and married John Whalen in 1905. Further information showed that she left Ireland on a ship, 1904 and indicated that her last residence was Armagh (this is not yet confirmed however the timing seems fitting).

It was also said that she had several sisters and their name was Lavina and Letitta (which is pretty unusual) - it is not known if they also came to the states.

What I am seeking for is Catherine's birthplace and her parents/siblings as well as some starting point such as which county was most populated with the surname Hamill or where Hamill originated from.

Thanks so much for any and all help,

Georgia
