Good day! My grandfather's name was John Hamill (no middle name), son of James Hamill (and either Sarah or Lillian, no maiden name known). James had at least five children that I am aware of, including my grandfather John. William George was the oldest, then my grandfather, and they also had a Samuel, Margaret and one other sibling (whom I think was a brother). John and William George came to Canada in the early 1900's, around 1912-1915, I have yet to find them on a passenger list. John came with his first wife, Sarah and their first two children, Lillian and Alexander. They settled in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. John had an additional five children, was widows twice and remarried twice before he died May 14, 1956 in Hubbards, Nova Scotia, Canada of heart disease. My father, William John, was the second youngest of John's children. I have no idea where William George went, I would like to locate him!! John's other brother either came to Canada at the same time or later, he settled in British Columbia, Canada. I found his family. I would really like to know information about William George! I would also like to have information on James Hamill, John Hamill's father, and later descendents! If you can help, that would be wonderful!!
Good luck with your search!! Take care!
