Thomas Hamer b. 1837 and Caroline Janes are my great-grandparents, and your dad (Dan Hamer) is my first cousin! I am the daughter of Dorothy Hamer who is the granddaughter of Thomas Hamer and daughter of Arthur Hamer. I have lots of info on Thomas and wife Caroline Janes, and am actively involved in on-going research on this line. I would be happy to share it all with you. Here's some basics:
Father of Thomas Hamer, b. 1837: Thomas Hamer, b. about 1811, d. bet. 1843-1851
Mother of Thomas Hamer, b. 1837: Catherine Pendlebury, b. abt. 1808, d. after 1881.
Father of Caroline Janes: William Janes, b. abt. 1825, death date unknown.
Mother of Caroline Janes: Caroline Sellers, b. abt. 1818, d. 25 Sep 1871.
