Alan,

Selena could possibly be in some way related to my GGGF, James Hamer, who was born in Tottington in 1827 and was son of Edward Hamer and Betty Turner.

However, according to my records, James was a quarryman, not a blacksmith; and he had a brother, Samuel, born 1833, but no sister. James married Mary Rothwell on 28 August 1854 and they had a son, Anthony, born 23 May 1855 (I don't know about other children).

The parents of my James were Edward Hamer, born 25 March 1793, and Betty Turner, born c1799. Edward had a brother, also named Samuel, born 5 Feb 1792.

Let me know if any of these names matches the names on your list.

Malcolm
