My Grandfather died recently and I am looking into his background.
He was born March 1939 and died june 2006. He was married to Kathleen (maiden name possibly Smith) who died in 1992. He remarried a lady called Pat.
With Kath he had 7 children, 3 boys and 4 girls. One of the boys died in infancy.
David Brian Hamer was the eldest son, born St Patricks day 1958/59
Wendy Kathryn Hamer born 2 January 1961
Julie Mary Hamer
Janet and Susan Hamer (Twins)
Andrew Hamer died last year.
He lived since 1965/6 in Droylsden near manchester(Lyton road).
He was one of 17 children. His father was called Thomas Hamer (It is not known about a middle name). I belive 10 of his elder siblings came from Thomas's first wife. Grandads mother was the second wife and had 7 Children. Norman, Brian, Doris, Barbra/Brenda(?) are the four I know.
Brian is two years younger so born 1941/42 possibly and is married to Pauline. As far as I know the rest of the Hamer family still live in Haile.
My Mum knows we have links with Coopers. I think there was someone called Sid Cooper at the funeral.
If anyone has any information on anyone who might have connextions to anyone here. please let me know.
