Seeking the parents of Joseph Hamel b.abt 1857 Quebec and d.bef 1930 Penobscot Co., ME. Religion:RC
Evidence of Joseph Hamel is first seen in the 1880 census in the Penobscot, ME area,unmarried, and so he must have migrated there before 1880. I believe he m. bef. 1887 according to the ages of his children. His wife's name is listed as "Lalley" in one census, and "Vellie" in another.
He is found with his family in the 1900, 1910, 1920 census.
His children are: Rosa, Joseph,Jr., Edward, Flora, Frederick, Lillian, Minnie, Donald, Theodore and Reginald.
