Dear Kathy,
Here is some info I hope will be useful. My Aunt (now deceased) told me that my Grandfather, Joseph Eugene Hambrick I (1899-1970), had a brother named "Carroll." Now a few weeks ago, I saw a cemetary listing in a Polk County, TX cemetary for one "Carroll Hambrick" and his wife "Emma," although their places of death, I believe was in Orange, TX. Joseph Eugene was born in Corrigan, which is in Polk county, and he may well be the brother of your Carroll, meaning that you and I are second cousins! Unfortunately, I have no information on Joseph's parents, or on their family, but Joseph also had at least one sister whose name begins with A (Alena or Aletha, I think, or something like that), and Joseph also had a niece named Jewel, whom I think should have been born in the range of 1920 to 1935.
