My search for the Hamlet line has gone from AL to NC and now into VA. This search has centered on a Richard Hamblett. My confirmed line goes back into Halifax Co.,VA, mid 1700s. The earliest record of a Hamlett that I have located is on a Richard Hamlett arriving at his land grant in James City in 1655. Be real happy to share info with anyone.
