I think Harvey was the youngest son of William Sorden 1794-1873 who is buried in the Paw Paw Cemetery Marion Co, Ohio.Am I correct?
Anne remembers the visit.I am sorry to say do not remember your visit.I do remember a visit from Larry Sorden and wife, a LDS from St. George Utah and a 3rd cousin.
Anne did some great research ~15 years ago.Cousin Lois Sorden Bakehouse of Keokuk Co. Iowaworked on genealogy until her death a few years ago . I do not have access to those files.
My father (Leland), grandfather (George)and Great grandfather are all at the Sorden Cemetery, Webster Iowa.GGrandfather Daniel was the first son of William and Sarah (m. 1815 Franklin Co) to leave Marion Co. Ohio.Daniel's younger brother ,James followed a year later but later moved on to farm in Kansas.
I believe Harvey served in the Civil War, as did brother William B.Harvey is listed in Civil War records as Harvey or.....
I would love to hear more.
I am going nuts trying to get real data on William's ancestors and real data on Sarah Sorden.I have found 1820 land records for William and Zenos Sr and Jr in Franklin Co.
Where do you live now?Is another visit to Saratoga CA in your future?
