My needle in the haystack query!
My search is for fellas: John, David, William, Francis
With ALL of the surname spellings.............
From WW. Sellers's book, 'Hx of Marion Co., SC and census i found
William b/about 1770 m.Tilitha MANNING
John b/about 1886 m/Martha ______(NOT Martha GREER)
possibly a second marriage, Their first daughter, Charity was born in 1810 and the next, Flora was not born until 1822.
Found a David War of 1812
John had 350a in 1770 on Reedy Creek & Little Pee Dee River.
Francis and wife, Lydia, bought land in 1799 and sold to a Mr. Betha a few years later
There is as HOH in very early census: a Sarah and Rebecca. I don't have the data at had to list their children's age group.
The 1800 census of Gerogetown/Liberty/Marion District list John and David.
Any assistance appreciated
Audrey
