William was the son of James King Hamblen. James was b. April 24, 1846, in Madison Co, MO and was raised there. He married Mary Lucinda Woods on Feb 16, 1875 in Bbutler County, MO. She was born Mar 5, 1855.

James was the son of George W. Hamblen, who was the son of Uriah Hamblen, who was the son of Job Hamblen, who was the son of George Hamblen.

Email me for more information. This information is found in The Hamblen & Allied Families, by A. Porter Hamblen. That book is now available on CD for $3.00. It's quit a buy, and I'm not selling it. lol Mick Hamblen has put that whole history on a CD. What a treasure!
