I, too, am looking for info on Dilla Pettengill, as I am descended from Daniel and Dilla's daughter Ruth who married Nathaniel Lombard. But I can help you with Daniel, who was the son of Jacob Hamlin b 28 May 1702 in Barnstable, MA, and Content Hamblen b 12 Dec 1707. They married 18 Aug 1731 in Barnstable; Jacob d 3 June 1774, Content abt 1790, both at Gorham, ME. I have the Hamlin/Hamblen/Hamlen/Hamelin/Hamelyn ancestry back to John Hamelyn b 1560 in Devonshire, England. Have Daniel b abt 1735, d 1805, m 1761 Dilla Pettengill who was b abt 1739, d 9 Feb 1812. Let me know if you want more info on the Hamblen ancestry. Are you also descended from Daniel and Dilla? I have been told that Dilla was a nickname for Deliverance . . . Les Foss
