Jan... Christian Hamaker was in Rye, Perry County, Pa. in 1820. In 1830 Christian (30-40) and a Joseph Hamaker (30-40) were recorded in Rye.... In 1830 Adam (age 50-60), Joseph (20-30), Jacob (40-50), and Henry (20-30) Hammaker show up and are in Buffalo Township, Perry County. In 1840, the Hamakers are gone....but found a Christian (30-40) in Lancaster County, Pa. and in 1850 a Christian Hammaker(age 44) with wife Catherine and a Joseph Hammaker (66)and wife Atilla 2 doors away.... However in 1840, Adam (30-40), John (40-50) and a Henry (30-40) are still in Buffalo Township,Perry County.. In 1850, there are only two Hammakers and no Hamakers in Watts Township, Perry County... I have an Adam Hammaker (b. 1797 Pa.) married to an Elizabeth (b. 1795 PA) who had William (1822), Sarah (1827), Jacob (1830), Priscilla (1834), Rachel (1836) and Fanny (1838). I believe Adam had a brother Joseph Hammaker (b. 1805) who did not marry Elizabeth Hammaker until 1823 in Watts Township...Also a Barbara Hammaker (50 b. PA) with son Henry (15) are in Watts...maybe a widow of Henry.. Hope this helps.. Notify Administrator about this message?
