TEMPERANCE — Opal F. (Halsey) Stump, 73, of Temperance died at 11:52 p.m. Saturday, 30 August 2003,in her home. She had been ill for three months with lung cancer.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Farnham Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Frank Cox Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Bedford Memorial Cemetery.
Born July 4, 1930, in Morgan County, Ky., she was the daughter of James B. and Maggie May (Raney) Halsey. She married Albert B. Stump on July 4, 1948, in Ligonier, Ind.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert (Sandy) of Kalamazoo; four daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Sandra K.) Weiss of Milton, Ohio, Carolyn Shultz of N. Royalton, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Toni Lee) Clark of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Frank (Gloria) Cox Jr. of Temperance; a brother, Glenwood of Cromwell, Ind.; two sisters, Zenath Housmann of Temperance and Zolda Stankowski of Perrysburg, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
