Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My husband's gr.gr.grandfather was a John Halpin - born in Co Limerick in about 1833. He came to Australia as a young
man and married Margaret Irwin (born in Co. Tipperary) in Victoria, Australia in 1858. His father was also named John but we have no further information about him.

Maybe there is a connection.
