If you are talking Richard Hallum (1778 - 1849), son of John & Ann(Owen) HAllum, I have "A History of the Hallum Family" and it only lists as his children as being Alton, John, Eliza Ann, Elizabeth & Thomas J. Also, I just searched my tree (I have over 8oo Hallums LOL)and do not show any Benson Hallums.

What was his full name, I will see if it's listed for you.
