+William Hallum assumed to be one of the original Brothers that came from england. the first note found he was a signer of hagerstown, Maryland Constitution in 1739. Next was a land grant in Washington county, Maryland of 215 acres june 21 1745, called Hallums lookout. Then On Monday the 22nd day of March 1756, Willam killed a Captain Gordan of Virginia in a fray in frederick county, Maryland. William sold Hallum's lookout to Mr. Stanberry an d disappeared.
William Masrried Sallie Reed an had 5 children, John-thomas-william-Dorcas-an elizabith. After the death of Sallie, William Married Jennie Griffith an had 3 kids Martha-James- and Josiah Hallum. After the affair with captain Gordon, William sold out an moved to North Carolina as Thomas Hallum(William s Son) Married Elizabeth Bingham in 1767 in Bertie county NC.
