My ggg-grandmother was born in 1820 in Tottington or Stanford , two villages close to each other just North of Thetford, she was born in 1820 and her her father was WIlliam Halls, who I presume must have been born in the late 18th cent.
Both villages are now no more , having been evacutated in 1942 because the army needed the area for a huge training base.
The family tended also to use very religeous names as Susanna named one child Bathsheba and there is a salome somewhere in the family too.
I cant tell you too much about the halls family really but as my branch is from just N of Thetford I assume our branches are connected if not the same ....John
