Hello Jeffrey,
I am also decended from George Hallmark and Leannah Mynatt.
Have you found any info yet? There is tons of info on the Hallmark families. Extensive research is available.George Hallmark is the presumed progenitor of all the Hallmarks in the United States. ( from THE HALLMARK FAMILY HISTORY HOMEPAGE.) This homepage is on the internet and is long...about 30 pages long. This homepage breaks down the Hallmark line into 10 Branches. These branches are too long for me to put here, but this Homepage helps you locate which branch you belong to. I am in Branch 2
BRANCH TWO
Thomas Hallmark ( c1773 VA c1805TN died at 32 married to Susannah Mynatt buried Knox Co TN; might be marked. Wife remarried an Irwin, moved to Alabama. decendants down from him are listed. On down the list James Washington Hallmark
married Mary Ford They had 7 children. James Washington died as a result of the civil war. One of his daughters,
Nancy Hallmark was my grandmothers mom. I suggest you try to look up this homepage, you'll be astounded at how much info is there, and how willing they are to help you locate your place in the Hallmark line.
Nice meeting you...cousin! ggg
Joyce
