I am trying to locate a Catherine Halligan (Holligan)
(b. ~ 1842) who married a John J. Duffy of Mt. Vernon, NY
She died between 1871 and 1880 in Mt. Vernon.
I almost located her grave some years ago, but it
apparently had been moved.
She was the mother of:
Elizabeth C. Duffy - b 1863,
Anna - b 1865,
Margaret - b 1866,
John - b 1868,
and
James E - b October 1871.
I have been unsuccessful in finding church records for her,
or immigration or basically anything. She appears to have used the name Bridget in common use. Almost all references I have for her, give Bridget. But her daughter's death certificate gives "Catherine Holligan".
