Patrick Halligan who was born c.1820, Ireland?, arrived on the Eliabeth-Hamilton ship at New York, 9 Nov 1850. He traveled with his wife, Margaret, b.c.1823, Ireland? Enroute, daughter Mary Francis was born.
Sister Margaret was younger than Mary, and Margaret married Jeremiah Joseph Hurley in IL in 1876.
Mary married Horace Everson Barclay of PA, at Chicago immediately after the Chicago fire; they lived Chicago, IL and Dodge City, KS, returning to Chicago c.1900. (This is my connection, I have this family to share)
Of Patrick, the father, and Margaret, the mother, nothing further is known. It is possible the family came through Canada to Chicago from NYC.
Looking for any connection of Halligan to Ireland/England or descendants in Canada/USA.
