Hi, I came across this post while searching for my own Halliday family. They are: James Johnston Halliday born 1879, Agnes (Young) his wife, their children (as far as I know!) Agnes b.1908, Elizabeth b.1910, Robert (My grampa), Hugh b.1919 and Mary b.1922. They came from Motherwell, Scotland to Quebec on April 25th, 1926. My grampa lived his life in Toronto, Ontario, and as far as my mom knows he (and his family) went to Toronto once arriving in Quebec. She doesn't really remember her aunts (Agnes & Elizabeth). My grampa's name was Robert Young Halliday. He was born 1912 in Motherwell, Scotland. He married Marjorie Joyce Wellman. I'm having trouble finding info on the Wellman side too. I would welcome any information that you might have regarding my elusive Halliday family! If you have no info, would you let me know that too? Thanks for now and I look forward to hearing from you.
