Am looking for documentation for the birth, marriage, and/or parents of John Hallford (Halford), Sr. and wife Lucy or Lucinda of Rutherford County, NC. They were born about 1745 and he died about 1799 and she died about 1804 in Rutherford County. One of his sons, John Halford, Jr. married Sallie (Nancy) Dalton. Another son, Jesse, my husband's direct descendant, moved to Moniteau County, Missouri. We just returned from NC but could find no graves or information on this family. Does anyone have a copy of Helen Mason Lu's book, "Bill's Creek Baptist Church, Two Hundred Year History" that they would part with? Any help would be appreciated regarding this family. Thanks.
