I think I have found a bit on your family for you.
1841 AMWELL, ST. JAMES CLERKENWELL, MIDDLESEX - #20 Margaret Street
STEVENS
John age 75, clerk
Elizabeth, age 40
Eliza, age 20

Benjamin age 15
in same house

Emma, age 15, married
** all above shown born Middlesex
1851 KINGSTON, PORTSEA, HAMPSHIRE - 122 North End
HALLET
Robert, age 35, born London - occupation: hard to read, looks like _ealer so could be Dealer or Healer ?? I think it reads "dealer" though
Emma, wife, age 37 (in index) but could be 27, born London
Charles, son age 7 born London
Emma, daughter age 5 born London
Georgena, daughter, age 1, born Croydon
** So it looks like William was either Robert William or William Robert? I had a hard time finding the family until I tried spelling of Hallet, then there they were. As they had a son William Robert, it explains the names for Emma's husband.
I looked for William/Robert in 1841 and found one in Amwell, St. James Clerkenwell, Middlesex which is where Emma was at the time so it may be him.

Catherine, daughter age 4,born Middlesex
Sarah, daughter, age 2,born Middlesex
** it only asks if born in County or not so no idea where Sarah was born. If this is your William then he was married before Emma and had at least these two children.
