Hallam Family Genealogy Forum

I was born at my Grandfather's house on Stanhope St. Mansfield Notts. 1930. We did in fact live with them again during the war in Hucknall and I attended school there. My father was in the army. Many of my relatives have passed on and I have lost contact with the new generation. The only statue I can think of is at the church, it sits an the site of the market square, and is of Lord Byron. I don't think we have the same genes, but you do bring up familiar names. My Grandfather Hallam had seven children, Walter, John, George, Mary Ann[aunt Polly] she married Arther Dyson!{maybe a conection there} Then later in life Grandmother Hallam had my father Reuben, and Patricia Martha,[aunt Pat] maybe it was six children!! The Hallam family goes back to Anglo Saxen days. There was a Hallamshire and I can remember the Hallamshire Regiment [army] there still is a village of Hallam.and the Hallamshire Hospital in Yorkshire, a Bank, etc. Joy Hallam
