I'm looking for help unraveling the mystery woman that shows up in the 1880 US census. The census took place in St. Louis Mo. Hanah is living with the Reeve family. I know Hallam is not the maiden name of the wife Susan. Hanah was born in England as were her parents. The Reeve family she is with, husband and wife were both born in England as well. Family lore has it that hoh Wm Reeve's middle name was Hamm. Could Hallam just be a mis-spelled name? Rumored in the family is that Wm was a deserter in the Royal Army after being sent to India. He was supposedly branded for this offense. Sure could use some help.
