Parents of Geneper (Juniper) Hall of Emanuel County, GA
My question relates to the numerous trees posted on Ancestry.com linking Geneper (Juniper) Hall (1769-1828) who died in Emanuel Co., GA with a James Hall (b. 1730 in CT; d. 1804 in CT) and Elizabeth Brown (b. 1732 in NC; d. 1803 in Emanuel Co., GA).I've seen numerous references to Geneper (Juniper) Hall being born in Montgomery (later changed to Emanuel), GA) as well as speculation that he was born in NC or VA and later migrated to GA.I realize that anything is possible in genealogy and early settlers did a lot of migrating back and forth, butI'm struggling with the possibility that Geneper's father was born in CT, married a girl from NC, and appears to have lived all or most of his life in CT, whereas hiswife passed away in GA.Elizabeth Brown seems a more likely candidate since she could have been born in NC and migrated with her family (parents or a husband) to GA to live.Does anyone have documents verifying that James Hall of CT and Elizabeth Brown of NC/GA are Geneper's parents?I've been searching for years and can't seem to find anything.Anyone's help would be appreciated.
