Mrs. Sarah Ann Harrison Hall, wife or widow of Isaac P. Hall, Mott St., NYC
I am stumped.Searching in the 1860-1900 census for Sarah Ann Harrison Hall.Sarah and Isaac P. Hall lived briefly (for 1850 census) in the hotel of her parents in New York City; it may have been the Columbian Hotel. In an 1866 will she inherited a house from her brother Edward Harrison at 5 Mott Street, New York City.(I do not know when he died but it was by 1882.)The house at 5 Mott had belonged to their parents, Arthur N. Harrison and Jane P.I am guessing Sarah and Isaac were in the New York state area. All I have is names off cemetery papers (listing all heirs to Green-wood Cemetery plots), no dates or places.
1860 New York Ward 6, District 3, New York, New York
Issac P. Hall 50 born in VA [Was it corrected to VT?]; printer
Sarah A. Hall 39 Ireland
Rebecca Hall 14 born New York
Wm Andrews 16 apprentice
Edward HARRISON 9 so born about 1851 and in New York, cutter in shoe store [Was this the son of William Robert Harrison?]
Sarah Harrison (1821/1823-December 1900) married Isaac P. Hall (born about 1810- died 1869), son of I do not know whom.Sarah and Isaac had:
Mary Ann Hall
Jane L. Hall
William Andrew Hall
Rebecca E. Hall
Edward Hall, possibly Edward H. Hall.[How do I know there was an Edward Hall?}
I have not found Sarah Harrison Hall anywhere as a widow in the 1870, 1880, or 1900 census.
As for the children.
1.On 3 August 1926 Miss Mary Ann Hall lived at 2305 Fendall Ave., Richmond, Virginia.(Green-Wood Cemetery, papers linked to lot 3690, document 27958.)
2.Jane L. Hall married David Brown and had David, Edward, Jane, and James.
3.I can't find William Andrews Hall in the census.More than one William Hall in the country.
4.Rebecca E. Hall married Kinnier and had Harrison Kinnier and Sadie Kinnier.
5.Edward H. Hall.I moved the birth order around, but no longer know when he was born.(I orginally thought born 1851-ish.)This Edward is neither the one in Fishkill, NY, nor the one who married Ida Ketchum in Stamford, CT, and had 4 sons including Gordon, Warren, and Oliver in Manhattan.I cannot find the correct man in census.I am wondering how I know they had an Edward Hall.
Any help you can give me on thsi family would be appreciated.Who was Isaac's father?Where was Sarah after 1869?Did the couple hava son Edward Hall?Where id son William Andrews Hall go in census?
Thank you.
