William H. Hall married Lucy Meredith 2/18/1813 in Franklin County, Georgia. Lucy had a brother named Tignal Meredith, who also married in Franklin County to Mary Stovall in 1819. In 1815, William Hall was issued Letters of Administration on the Estate of David Meredith upon giving bond. On March 16, 1815, Tignal Meredith, having made William H. Hall his guardian, paid Mr. Hall $21.00 "for one half of the expenses of a trip to Virginia, in order to settle an estate of Tignal Abernathy, being equally interested with the said Tignal Meredith, the said estate bieng left to said Meredith and his sister, Lucy Meredith. It being forty-two days at one dollar per day makes twenty-one dollars his part. January 9, 1815." Franklin County, Georgia Will Records. Tignal Abernathy must have been the grandfather of Lucy and Tignal Meredith, i.e., their mother's father. Now, consider the following Fairfield County, S.C. deed records of several years earlier, found below. Obviously, there is a connection between these Halls and Merediths. I am researching the Hall family that supposedly came out of Marlboro County, S.C. into Hall County, Georgia by 1830, a Revolutionary War soldier from North Carolina named William Hall with a son William Hall with wife Nancy, parents of James Hall, father of Charles Colquitt Hall, my grandmother Ruby Elizabeth Hall's father. Any information would be welcome. Thanks. Pat Gresham caribel@mindspring.com Notify Administrator about this message?
