My James Stephenson married Sarah HALL, 10 Sep 1798, Garrard Co. KY. James probably was son of Thomas Stephenson that had the 1000 acre preemption in Lincoln Co. KY. Thomas's preemption adjoinded that of John Hall (Halls Gap) and both were about 2 miles east of Logan's Fort. Sarah is thought to have been a daughter of this John Hall.
Moses Hall married Isabelle Stephenson, a daughter of Thomas. Was Moses also a son of this John Hall?
Also, does anyone know what happened to this John Hall of Lincoln CO. KY. I have not been able to find out much at all on him.
And, FYI, the above Thomas Stephenson married Elizabeth "Betty" Logan on 25 DEC 1760 at Peaked Mountain Presbyterian Church in Rockinghamn Co. VA. Elizabeth was daughter of David Logan and sister to Col. Benjamin Logan that founded Logan's Fort in Lincoln Co. KY.
