Family of Alfred & Mahaley (nee KANOUS?) HALL in Manchester, Ontario Co NY, 1850
Seeking family background of Alfred & Mahaley HALL in Manchester, Ontario County, NY in 1850.Mahaley's maiden name MAY have been KANOUS, but I'm not certain of this.My daughter in law's family is descended from Alfred & Mahaley's son Hamilton HALL, who settled after the Civil War in the towns of Rose/Huron/Butler in nearby Wayne County, NY.However I am trying to trace Hamilton's family background and cannot seem to get back any further than the 1850 US Census enumeration of Alfred & Mahaley HALL, in Manchester, Ontario Co., NY, as sketched out below.
