DearMr Hall:The Mabel Hall I am referring to is one who was born in Christian County in 1897 and was the daughter of William Alexander Hale, teacher and small time politician of Christian County. He lived for quite a length of time in Highlandville.Mabel married a man named Hall. I do not know much about her...I was hoping to find more on her.Her father William was assessor in about 1918.The county court fined him for not finishing the assessments on time, so he spent a week in the town of Ozark--drunk the whole time(according to the newspaper)! If you have any info on Mabel, I would really appreciate it.Of course the Mabel I am researching may be different than your sister.I admire anyone who can teach English--especially for 25 years.I was at SMSU from 1971---for several years, off and on, and I never did finish...a horrible thing.I was terrible in English. Now I do a lot of writing(of course, none of it gets published!)fiction and non-fiction.It was so nice to meet you on the internet.I hope that you can send me more info. Thanksbrian
