Aquilla md. cousin, Sophia White, 1750; MD
I have a booklet "Colonial & Historic Homes of Maryland" by Don Swann, 1939/1975 with a little information on these people:
"On a branch of the Bush River two miles from Abington is Sophia's Dairy (Rt. 40, Belcamp). The services of five redemptioners, who received their freedom when the building was finished, helped Aquilla Hall to build the house in 1768.In 1750 he married his first cousin, Sophia, after whom the home was named. She was the daughter of Colonel Thomas White....Aquilla Hall was the chairman of the group which wrote the Bush Declaration of Independence, signed March 22, 1775, one of the first documents of its kind in America."
