Martha Anna Hall - Fleming County, KY
I found the following obit in a cigar box kept by my grandfather and felt that I should share the information.
My grandfather wrote 12/24/63 on the obit.
MRS. ANNA HALL DIES AT HOME OF SON IN FLEMING
Mrs. Martha Anna Hall, 80, widow of P. G. Hall, of Fleming county, died yesterday at 4:10 pm at the home of a son Cecil Hall, of Woodlawn avenue in Flemingsburg.Death resulted from complications.She had been seriously ill the past three months.
Mrs. Hall was a native of Bath county, but had spent most of her lifetime in Fleming county.She was born November 13, 1873, a daughter of the late William Cundiss and Virginia Padgett Cundiss.
The deceased was well and favorably known in Flemingsburg and during her younger years enjoyed the close companionship of her friends and neighbors.Although her advanced age had curtailed her activities, Mrs. Hall had maintained remarkable interest in her surroundings until becoming ill.
Survivors, in addition to the son at whose home she died, include three sons, Allen, Ezra and Otto Hall, also of Flemingsburg and Mrs. W. Sammons, of Lexington.Also surviving are a foster son, Billy Day Hall, Zanesville, O.; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of the Boone funeral home.
