i can remember a mrs.price who kept and walked greyhounds as well in the fifties and early sixties keeping several houses which she hacked and rode to hounds.
can you remeber if the house was on the idlicote or the side of the 'halford bridge inn' - this used to be called 'the bell. where the earls of warwick in the 15 and 1600's kept a sizable cellar and stayed for weekends playing grass bowls. the bowls club is still veryt active and its green is on the opposite side of the road from the pub.
