In your Haley family research, have you come across Jesse Haley (1803-1869) of Halifax County, VA? I am trying to determine who his parents were. I believe Jesse Haley and Sterling S Haley may have been related in some way. Possibly brothers.

Sterling S Haley appears in the personal property tax records of Halifax County, Va from 1822-1825. Jesse Haley appears along side of his in 1824 and 1825. In 1825 a William Haley appears in the tax list as well. From 1822-1824 a Polly Haley appears in the records as well. They are all listed close together.

Any thoughts you might have or clues would be appreciated.
