Looking for parents of Patrick and his wife Susan Talley
3/24/1900 Patrick Haley departs to the Shores Beyond. In the death of Patrick Haley, which occurred at the home of his son John in Goshen Twp on Friday at 3:30 pm, Hardin Cty loses one of its oldest and prominent farmers. Deceased was born in the County Sligo, Ireland, and came to this country during the war of 1812 locating in the City of New York. In 1837 he came to Hardin Cty and settled in Goshen Twp where he has been residing ever since, up to the time of his death. An estimable wife and five children, 3 daughters and 2 sons have preceded him in death, his son John being the only surviving child to mourn the eternal departure of a loving father. Whatever worldly possessions he had were accumulated by hard and faithful labor. He was universally respected by all who enjoyed his friendship and acquaintance. He seldom saw a day of sickness and his death was solely the cause of old age, having reached the 93d milestone at the time of death. Funeral services will be held at the Catholic Church Sunday
