Hello, I am trying to find the family of John Alfred Hale.
He was born in Chorlton, Manchester, England in 1916, the only son of Alfred and Agnes Hale. His eldest sister Marjorie was my Grandmother.
In about 1920 they moved to the Isle of Man, where I live.
He married Edith Quirk from Peel in the Isle of Man and they moved to Capetown, South Africa. He was killed in a car crash in 1955 when he was 39. He and Edith had 2 children. I asked my Grandmother for as much information as possible and sadly she died in December 07 aged 98 and couldn't remember an awful lot. She did seem to think that one of their children was called Rosemary.
I don't know if after his death Edith and the children stayed in South Africa. I would be really interested to hear from anyone that may know anything about them.
