Ambrose Halcomb was born about 1852 in AR. (according to census records) or GA (according to family). He married Rebecca Wayland probably in Izard Co, AR. He and Rebecca are found on the 1920 Census for Central Twnshp, Pope Co., AR. They are living with a daughter and son-in-law (James L and Ida May Shields). Ambrose died shortly after the 1920 Census and is buried at Moreland Cem, Pope Co., Ar.
I have seen reference to the following children, but have not confirmed them as his children. They are: Charley, John, Abner, Samuel (b 1896), Mary Jane (Marr. Enoch Patterson), and Martha. Ida May (b 1895) is confirmed as a daughter by the census of 1920.
I am looking for information as to Ambrose's parents and siblings. Also, confirmation regarding his children.
