I haven't checked GenForum for a couple of weeks and apologize for not acknowledging your post earlier than this. I can't thank you enough for all the information you gave me. I've been helping my first cousin's teenage daughter begin genealogy on her mother's family which consists of Hakes and Hydes. Her grandmother is Mary Ann Hyde (living) which raises a question. Is there any possibility that Ethel and Bernice got switched around in the transcription below?
6)Ethel Hake b: Apr 1895 WI d: abt 1977 married Gerald Hyde (her tombstone reads "Ethel Hake, Travis Unkrich"
7) Bernice Hake b: Jan 1898 WI lived at Whitewater, WI
husband: Philip Travis
Mary Ann Hyde gives her parents as Bernice Hake and Gerald Hyde. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm not "chasing" the wrong family. Any further information you might be able to provide to clear this up would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for your help.
